Filter Media – Catalytic Carbon

Catalytic Carbon is a premium water treatment media designed to eliminate hydrogen sulphide from borehole and private water supplies. By removing the source of rotten egg odours while reducing chlorine and improving taste, it delivers fresher, cleaner water.

Maximum efficiency is achieved when an air cushion is maintained above the media using an air intake system during backwashing. Although backwashing helps maintain the filter bed, the media should be replaced annually for continued performance.
